Edinburgh & The Highlands
Historic city of mystical wonder
Where ancient traditions meet stunning landscapes
Iconic Edinburgh Castle
Royal Mile Treasures
Majestic Highland Landscapes
Great Days out and see Edinburgh & The Highlands
Ancient Mystery, Rugged Beauty
Absolutely! Edinburgh Castle offers exceptional value with its rich history, spectacular views of the city, and multiple attractions inside including the Crown Jewels of Scotland, the Stone of Destiny, and the National War Museum. The guided tours and historical re-enactments make the entrance fee well worth it.
May to September offers the most favorable weather with longer daylight hours (up to 18 hours in June), wildflowers in bloom, and less rainfall. However, October brings stunning autumn colours to the landscape, while winter visits (November-February) provide a chance to see the Highlands blanketed in snow and potentially the Northern Lights.
Don't miss traditional Scottish delicacies like haggis with neeps and tatties, fresh seafood including Cullen skink (smoked haddock soup), Aberdeen Angus beef, creamy Cranachan dessert, and of course, sampling authentic Scotch whisky at local distilleries. Many tours include opportunities to experience authentic Scottish cuisine at traditional pubs and restaurants.
